The sale of cars fuelled wholly by diesel or petrol will be banned by 2030 and the sale of hybrid cars is then set to follow from 2035. There may be significant tax benefits for business owners who switch company cars to pure electric in the next few years.

Earlier this week, the Addlestone Town Team finally met for an in-person networking event at The Light Cinema. Attendees discussed long term strategies to improve local shopping experiences. The conversations were flowing and dozens of fresh ideas on partnership were generated.

Whilst previous online meetings have enabled discussions on Covid safety improvements to the town centre, support for local businesses throughout the pandemic, and collectively contributed to the success of the Festive Fayre, face to face meetings have been greatly missed.
