Have your say on what the Council`s priorities should be for supporting businesses

A big thank you to all who completed our surveys. We had a great response from over 150 people.

We will be holding a Business Summit on 17 September at Royal Holloway, University of London, in Egham where we will present the findings of these surveys and the Council’s local economic assessment.

This will be a great opportunity to network with other businesses and to have your say on what the Council’s priorities should be for supporting businesses and the local economy.

Can you help a young person to succeed?

Unemployment amongst 18 to 24 year olds doubled in 2020. Over the past 18 months young people have faced a double whammy of a disrupted education and lack of employment opportunities.

Elmbridge and Runnymede District Boroughs have secured funding from the Department of Work and Pensions to provide young people with free support to equip them with the skills, experience and aptitude to succeed.

Can you help to provide memorable insights and experiences into the world of work?. There are a number of ways which you can assist, including:

  • Talks on career opportunities
  • Mentoring
  • Support with mock interviews
  • Visits to a place of work
  • Work experience opportunities.

Please contact [email protected] to discuss how you could get involved.

New Council website

Runnymede Borough Council’s new website has just been launched. It’s now even easier for businesses to deal with the Council, thanks to better designed pages, improved online forms and easier to follow information.

You can see all the tender opportunities we have published, apply for licences, pay business rates and get in touch if you need specific advice.

The website’s address is still exactly the same at www.runnymede.gov.uk. Look out for the Business and licencing section on the homepage.

Recognising that they do not have all the answers Heathrow is making a call to innovators, process experts, product life cycle consultants and suppliers asking for their help to resolve this puzzle.
