Deadline Approaching: £3,000 Product Development Grants

Runnymede Businesses have until Friday 17 March to apply for a grant worth up to £3,000 towards the cost of developing or marketing a new product. Over £500,000 has already been paid to businesses in the wider region to develop and enhance their product range.

The grant can be used to contribute towards a range of activities, including market research, product design, prototyping, testing, branding, and marketing.

Free Training Course: Import Procedures

In the latest of a series of Government-funded courses on international trade, this month Surrey Chambers of Commerce are offering a free course on the procedures you need to know when importing goods from abroad.

The course will cover import documentation and procedures, commercial considerations, the importance of your purchase order, calculating VAT and duty, and how to reduce import customs clearance delays. Incoterms® and their impact on importing will be shown, along with an introduction to duty regimes to help importers.
