Free net zero business support service

Businesses in Runnymede are being helped in the race to net zero with the launch of the Net Zero Business Support Service.

Every business which engages with the EM3 Growth Hub will be offered a free 30 minute one-to-one advice session with EM3’s net zero sector specialist. They will receive information on sustainability and decarbonisation along with signposting to organisations which can carry out carbon audits. The guidance is available to businesses from any sector and is tailored to individual needs.

Summit success

Thank you to all who attended the Business Summit on 17 September. We had a great morning of networking and workshops and it was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, along with a wealth of knowledge and experience, and a willingness of partners to work together.

Creative ways to increase footfall in Addlestone town centre

An interactive and immersive art installation titled LUX is being set up in a retail unit in Addlestonetown centre. Emma-Leone Palmer is one of the country`s most exciting artistic talents and will be creating a new temporary feature in the Addlestone One development. The initiative is part of a wider programme of support being developed by the Council to encourage visitors back into the borough`s town centres.

Changes to import controls for goods from EU to UK

The Government has released a new timetable for introducing full import controls for goods imported from the EU to the UK. This revised timetable aims to give businesses more time to adjust with the controls being introduced across 2022.
