Runnymede Regeneration: Egham Gateway scheme progresses |
Places for People held a second public consultation in November 2018, giving residents a chance to view the scheme's progression ahead of submitting an application for full planning permission early this year.
Changes were made to the proposals for this key town centre site following discussions with local planning officers, as well as taking into account feedback from local residents and stakeholders in 2017.
The revised proposal is for a mixed-use scheme comprised of the following:
- New retail units lining the length of Station Road North
- A boutique cinema, providing arts and entertainment facilities for people of all ages
- Residential accommodation aiming to provide approximately 100 new homes
- One student accommodation building
- High-quality public realm, integrated within the High Street and existing context
Once finalised, the Runnymede Regeneration Programme will see Places for People manage the development and project delivery process for the site, from securing planning consent through to design, construction and delivery.
