In collaboration with DWP, please join us for this breakfast event where we will be discussing the ways in which DWP can help, both your employees, and your business.
We will be discussing the benefits – and challenges – of how small and medium businesses can benefit from having a clear IWP (in-work progression) pathway. For some businesses, paying more or offering more hours may not be a viable solution for improving staff retention at the current time, however considering flexible, family/carer friendly working patterns, opportunities for training or time off to attend training and upskilling line managers to have meaningful career conversations with their staff, might be alternatives to consider.
We would also like to do some ‘myth busting’ about Universal Credit and discuss the funding opportunities we have for childcare, training and access to opportunities for CV writing, digital upskilling and careers advice.
The session will be facilitated by Shane Norman, Progression Lead for Surrey and Sussex and Chris Greenland, Senior Partnership Manager. Shane and Chris welcome your thoughts about IWP and if there are any questions in advance of the session, we would be glad to receive them to discuss at the event, or directly if you prefer.
